The road will never be the same!!

It was yet another evening where we were getting trained to resolve network related issues at DELL, yes my first job and i was glad to have been part of the training  :)
Everything was going on as per schedule until a smart, tall, more than healthy guy walked in to the  training room. All of us stopped looking at our computer screens and the entire focus shifted from networking to this guy.Who was he??well all of us knew he would definitely be a big shot from the management and yes we were right. He was the Process Head for the entire Bangalore division of Dell and he was there to get a quick introduction of all the new entrants and make us feel better.

We thought it would be  one more of those introduction sessions where everyone gets up and says hi I am so and so..I am from so and so place and blah blah....all of us in there were bugged of these intro session cause we had already given at least 15 times from the day we joined. But this was different. how??I will tell you

So the process director introduced himself first and then asked each one of us to tell our name and also tell him why each one of us was a hero in our own lives. He gave us 2 mins and as i was sitting in the last row, i knew it would take a while for my turn to come .I started thinking..What have i done in my life to become a hero..thoughts started popping up...oh i am an all rounder..I can sing, play the piano...awesome at sports....good enough in studies..I never gave up my passion for music and sports even though i had a few bad phases in my past..I have made it through DELL..come on i said to myself..yeah i am a hero for these reasons and i am gonna tell it i decided!!!

There was some more time till i got my turn and so i decided to listen to what other friends of mine were telling and that's when i realized something big!! one of my friend told that he was from a financially weak background and he used to work as a waiter in a small restaurant at an age when all of us were happy going to school. He supported his education later with this money and i was like woah!! Many of them even told i took care of my mother and i don't ask money from my parents for anything. The process director asked all of us how do you define bad times??problems??and none of us answered. he told it is we who say we are from a weak background when all we need is food to eat, air to breathe and a shelter to stay but again the world complicates everything :)
Another colleague of mine told his story. He had witnessed lot of fights between his parents from his childhood and now they were not together. He never got the love and care that all of us got growing up...but wait..he din't let it become his weakness..he took it as his strength and now he runs an orphanage in mangalore and takes care of many kids with all their needs. Now that's the definition of  a HERO :).

My turn came and all i told to the Director that prior to listening to all these stories I was a hero but now I have realized I am nothing when compared to some of them sitting here.I was such a fool till now considering myself as an hero But i surely was inspired to become a hero at some point :)

The thing i realized that day....
The road is never same for anyone in life...every one has undergone different experiences at different situations in life.It all comes down to how we react to it and that is what makes us a HERO or ZERO :)

Kya hai zindgi,
Dekho to khwab hai zindgi,
Padho to kitab hai zindgi,
Suno to gyan hai zindgi,
Par haste raho to aasan hai zindgi… :)
